Guidelines

We are currently accepting submission of previously unpublished manuscripts.

No agents are needed and direct, unsolicited submissions are welcomed.

To be included when making a submission:

  • A one-page query letter indicating genre, title, word count, a brief blurb about the book and an introduction of the author.
  • A 1-3 page book or proposed series synopsis.
  • The full manuscript

Send the documents as a zipped attachment:

  • Make sure each document name contains your full name and the working title of your manuscript
  • Word documents using Times New Roman, 12 point font
  • No headers, footers, hyperlinks, page numbers or pictures
  • Begin subject line with: SUBMISSION
  • Add your name and book or series name
  • For example: SUBMISSION: Jane Austen – Pride and Prejudice 

We try to get back to everyone in a timely manner

  • You will receive an auto-response when you email us. If you don’t receive anything, please email us without any attachments and we’ll gladly help
  • We will respond to you, positively or negatively, within one month
  • Feel free to nudge us after four weeks, should you not hear from us

Genres

  • 40-65k, 1st person dual or multiple POV preferred
  • Fun, fast-paced stories with world building, magical creatures and memorable characters
  • Strong romance plot with characters between 18 and 24 years, medium to high heat
  • Colorful characters, strong dialogue and interesting adventures
  • 45-65k, dual POV, 3rd person POV preferred
  • Strong heroes: royalty, noblemen, military heroes, highlanders, vikings, etc.
  • Feisty heroines 
  • Mid to high heat, often illicit or scandalous relationships, strong conflict and big payoffs.
  • Tropes: marriage of convenience, spinster/wallflower, governess, compromised, rake, enemies to lovers, fake engagement, etc.
  • 35k-65k, 1st person POV preferred
  • High heat with a happy ending
  • Fun, fast-paced, dialogue-heavy, sexy, and emotionally satisfying
  • Tropes: fake relationship, bait and switch, wrong bed, best friends-to-lovers, fish out of water, older brother’s best friend, enemies-to-lovers, mistaken identity, revenge, one-night-stand, sexy protectors, opposites attract, boardroom romance, matchmaker, etc. 
  • Sexy, capable heroes, typically in their mid-20s to early-30s, paired with intelligent, funny heroines
  • 15-45k, single or dual POV. 
  • High heat, 18+. M/F, M/M, F/F, and menage
  • Sex scenes have to be hot, believable and speak to the characters’ motivation – happy for now required
  • NO: underage characters, rape, brutality or torture, bestiality, necrophilia, discrimination against race, religion, disability, nationality, etc
  • 45-65k, 3rd person dual POV preferred
  • Sweet and hilarious “meet-cutes” between strangers with a strong romantic connection, exciting sexual tension and swoon-worthy endings
  • Lively, witty and funny dialogue, great connection between the heroes and a satisfying conclusion
  • Tropes: fake relationship, best friends-to-lovers, bait and switch, fish out of water, ugly duckling, older brother’s best friend, mistaken identity, enemies-to-lovers, matchmaker, sexy protectors, opposites attract, boardroom romance, etc.
  • Realistic, confident, fun heroes: late-20s to mid-30s, intelligent, modern people
  • Moderate to high heat
  • 45-95k, 1st person POV preferred
  • Protagonists between 16 and 19, or 18-24 years old
  • fresh, strong voices that capture the emotions and complexities of characters straddling the line between high school and the adult world of work and family. 
  • Contemporary, Suspense/Thrillers, Historical, Fantasy, Paranormal
  • Strong romantic subplot is a must, sweet to provocative
  • 45-65k, 1st person dual POV preferred
  • No or closed-door sex, small town setting, vibrant cast of side characters
  • Cowboys, firemen, policemen, everyday heroes: alpha and beta men
  • 60-95k, 3rd person POV preferred
  • High-concept stories driving on conflict and emotion
  • Strong romantic elements, geared toward an adult audience
  • Diverse characters from all walks of life welcome
